The Eastern White Pine is a coniferous tree that is native to eastern North America. The needles of the tree are long and slender and are arranged in clusters of five. The cones are also unique, featuring a thin, flexible scale. It has a graceful, rounded pyramidal shape. It makes an excellent windbreak and shade tree and can be clipped into hedges. They grow well in the shade of a large tree. It also does well in wet areas. White pines shed their needles every fall.
