Jacob’s Ladder (Polemonium) have fragrant, bell-shaped flowers that grow in loose clusters. Their foliage is a mound of fern-like, delicate leaves with airy texture. Jacob’s Ladder love afternoon shade as Hostas do and look excellent as accents among them. This easy-to-grow perennial grows well as a ground cover, along a wood’s edge, or in shady gardens.
