Product Description

Pink Old-fashioned Bleeding Heart

A Classic! The Old-fashioned Bleeding Heart plant produces large stems with rows of delicate-looking pink hearts in Spring. Although the flowers look delicate, the plant is far from it! It forms a large, bushy clump of powdery-green foliage that is surprisingly easy-to-grow. The foliage goes dormant in late Summer, but comes right back next year. Bleeding Heart prefers well-drained soil.

Bleeding Heart Perennial

Bleeding Heart (Dicentra Spectabilis) is a perennial plant that puts on a fantastic display in the Spring. It gets its name from the heart shaped flowers with contrasting white centers. When the Summer gets hot, they go dormant till next season. The resulting gap should be filled in with other bushy perennials like Hosta.
