Luxuriant Bleeding Heart
Luxuriant Bleeding Heart has the beautiful pink heart-shaped flowers we love. However, it is much shorter than the Old-fashioned Bleeding Heart. Its fern-like foliage is much more persistent that the Old-fashion, so it doesn’t go dormant as quickly. It is also more sun tolerant. Prefers a moist, well drained soil in part shade.
Bleeding Heart Perennial
Bleeding Heart (Dicentra) is a perennial plant that puts on a fantastic display in the Spring. It gets its name from the heart shaped flowers with contrasting white centers. When the Summer gets hot, they go dormant till next season. The resulting gap should be filled in with other bushy perennials like Hosta.
