Pachysandra Ground Cover (Japanese) is a tough, evergreen perennial which has glossy, dark green oval leaves. It features small white flower spikes in the spring. Pachysandra can thrive in various conditions: drought-tolerant, shade-tolerant, and can grow in heavy clay soils. Its foliage doesn’t die back in winter, making it an excellent choice for year-round color in your garden. Pachysandra serves as an effective Ground Cover for weed control, because it quickly spreads into a dense mat, inhibiting weeds.
Ground Cover is a popular and low-maintenance perennial. It is a vigorous, vining evergreen, so it stays green all year. It thrives in a range of conditions: from full sun to deep shade, from dry soil to moist soil. Ground Cover is available in small plugs (about 2″ wide). Plant 1 of them per square foot for a complete Ground Cover effect.
