Black-eyed Susan is a long-time favorite perennial. Cheery daisy-like golden flowers cover the Treasure Trove plants in late Summer. Black-eyed Susan is very hardy and easy-to-grow, but Treasure Trove is a new variety with greatly improved resistance to black leaf spot. Its fuzzy foliage also makes it more deer and rabbit resistant.
Black-eyed Susans (Rudbeckia) are a native perennial that grows wild in throughout US. The Black-eyed Susan get their name from mounds of Golden flowers with a black “eye” in the center that they produce in late Summer. The plants of today are shorter and better branched compared to their wild cousins.
