Black-eyed Susan is a long-time favorite perennial. Sturdy stems of cheery daisy-like golden flowers cover the Treasure Trove plants in late Summer. These long lasting flowers are great as cut flowers for bouquets. Treasure Trove is a new variety with greatly improved resistance to black leaf spot, making this Black-eyed Susan one of our easiest to grow. Its fuzzy foliage also makes it more deer and rabbit resistant.
Black-eyed Susans (Rudbeckia) are a native perennial that grows wild in throughout US. The Black-eyed Susan get their name from mounds of Golden flowers with a black “eye” in the center that they produce in late Summer. The plants of today are shorter and better branched compared to their wild cousins.
