Product Description

Anjou Pear Tree (Pyrus Communis)

Anjou Pear is famous for its long-lasting storage life. It produces medium egg-shaped fruits. These fruits need to be picked while they are still firm and green, but fully grown. Store them at room temperature for a few days until they ripen with a white-fleshed, sweet yet slightly tangy flavor. Anjou Pears are excellent for eating fresh, baking, and canning. Anjou Pear Tree blooms puffy white flowers in the spring. It maximizes its yields when you plant a pollinator tree nearby. Anjou Pear Tree should be pruned once during its late winter dormancy.

Pear Trees

Pear Trees are known for their sweet, juicy, golden fruit. In the early spring Pear Trees produce 5-petaled white flowers each with a sweet aroma. A few trees are self-fertile, but many require a partner for fruit production. Plant another variety of Pear Tree within 40 feet for pollination. They should be pruned annually in late winter or very early spring. Pear Trees prefer rich, well-drained soil and need to be planted in a full sun area.

About Trees from Nolt’s Garden Center

We specialize in top quality trees for sale at our plant nursery in Lebanon PA. Our tree nursery has a huge selection of ornamental, flowering, & shade trees. Most of our trees are grown in potting soil which makes them lighter and easier to plant than trees that are grown in a field and dug. Our trees also start growing faster since their roots are not damaged by the digging.
