Yellow Delicious Apple Tree (Malus domestica)

The Yellow Delicious Apple is also known as Golden Delicious. This fruit starts out as a pale green and then changes to a golden yellow when ripe in mid September. Yellow Delicious Apple has a unique honey-sweet flavor. It is a crisp firm apple with a creamy white flesh. Its an excellent apple for baking, pies, and sauce.

Apple Trees

Apple Trees produce lovely blossoms in the spring. In early summer the fruit needs thinned down to one or two apples per cluster, to prevent the tree from breaking. This will produce larger, high quality fruit. Most Apple Trees require cross-pollination. Plant another variety, with the same bloom time, about 50-100 feet away. Prune them in late winter once a year. Apple Trees need full sun to maximize their fruit sweetness and color. Apples are also a natural source of antioxidants.
