Viridis Weeping Japanese Maple Tree is a mounding, cascading, ornamental Maple. It is a slow-growing, dwarf version of the upright Maples. Its delicate lacy leaves emerge bright chartreuse in the spring, change to a green during the hot summer months. This foliage ends up in shades of yellow, orange, and crimson in the autumn. The cascading canopy Viridis creates, looks much like an umbrella.
Weeping Japanese Maple Trees are slow-growing ornamental trees. They are prized for their lovely seasonal colors. They prefer partial shade to protect them from the hot afternoon sun, as too much sun can scorch their leaves. Japanese Maples love well-drained and slightly acidic soil. Prune in mid winter while the tree is dormant, to prevent excessive sap loss. Weeping Japanese Maples with their cascading mound make stunning focal points in landscapes.
