Happidaze/Hapdell Sweetgum Tree (Liquidambar styraciflua ‘hapdell’)

Happidaze Sweetgum tree has a tall pyramidal shape that makes an excellent shade tree. It has unique star-shaped leaves that mature to deep maroon and burgundy in the fall. It is known for its outstanding fall color. Its other amazing quality is that it is a seedless cultivar, meaning that you won’t have to worry about cleaning up after messy fruits or seed pods. Happidaze Sweetgum is hardy, easy-to-grow, and has few pests.

Sweetgum are beautiful native trees, growing in eastern United States. Our newer varieties of Sweetgum are seedless, meaning that you won’t have to clean up seed pods or messy fruit. Next most important is their lovely fall color. Sweetgum prefer moist, acidic soil.
