Elberta Peach Tree is known for producing large, fuzz-covered, freestone peaches. Inside, this fruit has sweet, juicy yellow flesh excellent for fresh eating, baking, and canning. In the spring fragrant pink-purple blossoms emerge from the Elberta Tree, followed by the fruit in late July. In the fall Elberta’s foliage transitions into a vibrant yellow.
Peaches are what we think of as juicy, sweet summer fruits. They are highly productive as self-pollinating, although planting another tree will increase your total yield. Peaches usually ripen in mid to late July. They require full sun and love well-drained soil. Peach trees should be pruned in late winter or early spring to keep the canopy open to light.
We specialize in top quality trees for sale at our plant nursery in Lebanon PA. Our tree nursery has a huge selection of ornamental, flowering, & shade trees. Most of our trees are grown in potting soil which makes them lighter and easier to plant than trees that are grown in a field and dug. Our trees also start growing faster since their roots are not damaged by the digging.
