Endless Summer® Bloomstruck® Hydrangea boasts loads of 6″-10″ purple flowers all summer long. It provides unforgettable impact in the landscape with vivid rose-pink or blue-purple mophead flowers, depending on your soil pH. To keep Bloomstruck® this blue-purple color, you may need to feed it. It has strong, beautiful red-purple stems and dark green leaves. Bloomstruck® is also above average heat tolerance, and great disease resistance, especially to powdery mildew. This hardy, cold tolerant bush is a good choice for a container or as a specimen in your garden. The Bloomstruck® flowers are excellent for fresh or dried flower arrangements.
Hydrangeas (macrophylla) are cherished for their large, mophead flowers. They bloom on both old wood and new wood every year. This trait provides more continuous color from spring through fall. Hydrangea Macrophyllas have a unique ability to change color. Blue flowers require acidic soil and pink flowers require neutral soil. So you can apply aluminum sulfate to encourage blue flowers or garden lime if you want pink flowers. Preferring partial sun, Macrophylla Hydrangeas are adaptable to many soils with moderate moisture. Hydrangeas look best planted in containers, along borders, or as a specimen in your garden.
