This composting process naturally gives it a beautiful medium-brown color without any dyes or additives. Premium Bark Mulch will continue to compost on your flowerbeds, feeding your plants and enriching the soil. This makes Premium Bark Mulch an excellent choice for mulching around flowers and perennials. It is also an excellent choice for weed prevention, moisture retention, and to prevent erosion. Since it is a natural mulch, its medium-brown color will age to a light brown after several months.
Our Bark Mulch is made of 100% tree bark. It is aged 6-9 months to give it a medium brown color. If you like to mulch thick to keep down the weeds, you will like a bark mulch. Instead of ‘stacking-up’ like a wood mulch, it will compost down to make room for mulch next year. Our bark mulch contains no mushroom soil or other fillers.
