Red Oak Tree (Quercus rubra)

Red Oak Tree is one of the most popular and fastest-growing native shade trees in North America. It is known for its majestic size! Its glossy, dark green leaves turn brilliant shades of deep red, scarlet, or russet-brown in the fall. Red Oak also produces small acorns, providing a vital source of food for squirrels and birds. This resilient, hardy tree also provides dense shade. Red Oak is adaptable to many soil types, but prefers moist, well-drained, acidic soil.

Oak Trees

Oak Trees are known for their extreme longevity and their massive size. They thrive in diverse environments, from forests to urban sidewalks. They have spirally arranged leaves with lobed edges. In the fall these leaves change to lovely hues of orange and red. Oak Trees produce acorns, providing food for birds and wildlife.
