Native Pink Dogwood Tree (Cornus florida ‘Rubra’)

Native Pink Dogwood Tree has stood the test of time and has become an old time favorite for good reason. Native to most regions in the entire eastern United States, this cultivar prefers well drained, rich, acidic soils. Native Pink requires consistent moisture and is not highly drought tolerant. Delicate pink flower bracts lavishly smother its branches in early spring. In the early fall it produces bright red berries. You can’t beat the brilliant red, fall foliage of this proven performer! Native Pink has character all season!

Dogwood Trees

Dogwood are popular, ornamental trees featuring stunning spring bracts. They have vibrant fall foliage as well. Preferring partial shade, they can also thrive in sun-dappled woodland areas. Dogwood thrive in moist, well-drained, slightly acidic soil. They require consistent moisture and are not drought-tolerant. If you need to prune them, do so immediately after flowering. Dogwood are compact trees, looking their best near patios or entries and at the edge of woodland areas.
