Earliglo Strawberry is a June-bearing strawberry, meaning it produces one large crop usually around the end of May or the beginning of June. It is prized for firm, exceptionally sweet fruit. Its used vary from preserves and freezing to fresh eating. Earliglo thrives in full sun and is winter hardy. Being self-pollinating, one plant is all you need.
June-bearing Strawberry Plants produce one massive harvest in a 2 week span in late spring or early summer. Because of this harvest all at one time, it makes them well suited for canning and freezing. June-bearing Strawberries generally produce larger, juicier berries than Everbearing Strawberries. They send out a lot of runners which should be thinned. This will help the plant to keep producing large fruit. It will also prevent the plant from becoming too crowded. June-bearing Strawberries love full sun and well-drained, slightly acidic soil.
