Plants for your fish pond provide a natural environment and shade for your fish. Plants also provide fish with hiding spots from predators. Soaking up fish waste and extra minerals, plants keep green algae from growing, helping to keep your water clear. Floating leaves give shade to the water, keeping it cooler and stopping algae growth. Fish also often use underwater plants to lay their eggs, as plants offer protection as well. Last of all plants in your pond create natural beauty for you to enjoy!
