Product Description

Gala Apple Tree (Malus domestica)

Gala Apples have a distinctively striped red-orange appearance. They have a delicate thin skin and a crisp nature which makes them excellent for fresh eating. Gala Apples have a sweet, mild flavor with creamy white flesh. They have become widely popular as a best-loved apple variety in the United States. Gala Apples’ crispness adds the crunch to salads and the flavor to muffins or breads.

Apple Trees

Apple Trees produce lovely blossoms in the spring. In early summer the fruit needs thinned down to one or two apples per cluster, to prevent the tree from breaking. This will produce larger, high quality fruit. Most Apple Trees require cross-pollination. Plant another variety, with the same bloom time, about 50-100 feet away. Prune them in late winter once a year. Apple Trees need full sun to maximize their fruit sweetness and color. They are a natural source of antioxidants.

About Trees from Nolt’s Garden Center

We specialize in top quality trees for sale at our plant nursery in Lebanon PA. Our tree nursery has a huge selection of ornamental, flowering, & shade trees. Most of our trees are grown in potting soil which makes them lighter and easier to plant than trees that are grown in a field and dug. Our trees also start growing faster since their roots are not damaged by the digging.
