Fernspray Green

Chamaecyparis obtusa

Product Description

Fernspray Green Hinoki Cypress (Chamaecyparis obtusa ‘Filicoides’)

Classy sprays of green, fern-like foliage decorate Fernspray Green Hinoki Cypress. Each unique, flattened branch tapers to a point, just as a fern frond does. This slow-growing evergreen conifer has an irregular, pyramidal form. Fernspray Green naturally maintains its shape, so rarely needs pruning. It enjoys moist, well-drained soil and plenty of sun, although can benefit from some protection from the scorching afternoon sun. Fernspray Green looks awesome planted in a rock garden, as a vertical accent in your garden, or in a container.

Cypress Bush

Cypress (Chamaecyparis) are dwarf shrubs, hardy and low-maintenance. They are evergreens, which are sure to keep your flower gardens looking alive all year! Cypress naturally maintain their shape, so usually do not need pruning. They thrive in full sun, which brings out their true color. They prefer well-drained, slightly acidic soil and do not like heavy soil. Cypress can be used as an accent plant in gardens, for low hedges, or in containers.
