Coconut Surprise Dianthus is a tight mound of gray-blue foliage. It provides a beautiful sight in late May as a sea of flower buds rise above the foliage and open to a double white flower with a popping red eye. Coconut Surprise flowers well into the summer withstanding summer heat.
Dianthus (Pinks) are the perfect compact size to make a border along your garden. Fragrant flowers appear in early summer, and a quick shearing after flowering will help them to rebloom in early fall. The foliage of Dianthus have a clean, blue look that withstands the summer heat and humidity. They grow best in well-drained soil.
