Blue Shield is a rock salt/calcium blend that is coated with CMA (Calcium Magnesium Acetate). This allows it to keep melting in much colder temperatures. Also, the CMA is much safer for concrete sidewalks, providing a protective coating between the rock salt and concrete. It is colored blue so you can see where it is spread. Melts to -25°F
We stock semi loads of rock salt to keep you supplied. We offer both bagged and bulk salt. We offer 24 hour loading for approved accounts so you can refill in the middle of an ice storm. All our salt is stored in a covered warehouse to keep it from getting hard.
