One of the most colorful Spurges for all-season color is Bonfire Euphorbia. In spring its foliage emerges green with yellow-chartreuse bracts. In summer Bonfire transforms into shades of orange, fiery reds, and purple. In fall it even deepens its color to shades of burgundy. Multi-colored Bonfire prefers well-drained soil, but tolerates sandy or rocky soil.
Euphorbia (Cushion Spurge) is a dense, dome-shaped perennial. Its flowers are inconspicuous, surrounded by yellow bracts that cover it in the spring.
