Red Sunset® Maple Tree (Acer rubrum ‘Franksred’)

Red Sunset® Maple Tree is one of our favorite red maples. It has a very uniform branching habit, with its deep green leaves providing shade all season. It grows into an upright, oval canopy, making it a robust shade tree. In the fall it features vibrant crimson and orange shades of color. It is hardy, easy-to-grow, and has few pests. Red Sunset® is also adaptable to poor soils and even tolerates some standing water!

Red Maple Trees

Red Maple is a fast-growing, beautiful maple tree native to Eastern US. It thrives in full or partial sun and moist, slightly acidic soil. Red Maple is easy-to-grow and a long lived tree. Our newer varieties have a very symmetrical structure and excellent fall color. Red Maple, true to its name, has red winter buds, red spring flowers, and reddish leaf stalks in the summer.
