Flame Thrower® Redbud Tree (Cercis canadensis ‘NC2016-2’)

Flame Thrower® Redbud Tree is a very colorful redbud! In the early spring it produces bright magenta flowers. Its heart-shaped leaves emerge a deep, glossy burgundy-red in the spring, transitioning to bright yellow and eventually shades of green and gold as they mature. These transitioning colors deliver a season-long array of bright colors. The cross of Ruby Falls and Rising Sun, creates beautiful Flame Thrower.

Redbud Trees

Redbud are popular, ornamental trees with heart-shaped leaves. They feature vibrant flowers in the early spring. They are small trees, ideal for patios and urban gardens. Redbud thrive with good drainage, as they do not tolerate constantly wet conditions. They are drought tolerant once they are established. Low-maintenance and easy-to-grow, they have a long lifespan.
