Lapins Cherry Tree is known for being self-pollinating, so one tree is all you need. It produces large, one inch, heart-shaped cherries. Their flesh is firm, meaty, and ruby-purple in color. Inside, they are sweeter and milder than a Bing Cherry. Lapins has fragrant white blossoms in the spring. In the fall its foliage transitions into yellow, orange, and red. Lapins Cherry Trees should be pruned once a year in late winter.
