Spreading Japanese Plum Yew has soft, dark green cascading needles. It has a mounding, yet spreading and trailing habit. Preferring partial sun, it also grows well in full shade. Spreading Plum Yew will grow in different types of soil, provided the soil is well-drained. It rarely requires pruning, but its best to prune in late winter or early spring before new growth begins. With its tropical look, Spreading Plum Yew is lovely planted as a low hedge, in a woodsy area, or in a container!

Plum Yew (Cephalotaxus) are known for being a slow-growing, shade tolerant shrub. They have needle-like foliage that is resistant to deer. Plum Yew are adaptable to different soil types, provided its well-drained. These shrubs thrive in full sun or part sun. They look excellent planted in a privacy hedge, as a specimen, or in a container. Warning: Plum Yew are toxic to animals and humans if ingested.
