Whipcord Arborvitae has unique evergreen foliage compared with other Arborvitaes. This mop-head bush consists of long, thick tendrils. These many branches of Whipcord seem to explode upward and send sparks cascading in all directions. It is glossy green in the summer and matures to bronze for the winter months. Its slow-growing habit means very little or no pruning. Whipcord looks excellent in rock gardens or as a specimen in your garden.
Arborvitae (Thuja) are popular for their low-maintenance. They are evergreens which are sure to keep your flower gardens looking alive all year! They thrive in full sun, but can tolerate a partial sun. Arborvitae prefer moist, well-drained soil. These versatile, hardy shrubs are low-maintenance and usually do not need pruning. Arborvitae can be planted as a specimen, in a container, or in a hedge.
