Product Description

Royal Purple Smokebush

Royal Purple Smokebush has striking wine-purple foliage and is known for keeping its true color all season. In the early summer large, pink, airy seed clusters appear. These smoke-like clusters change from grayish to pink over the summer months. These flowers contrast well with the dark, oval shaped leaves. Royal Purple takes very little to no pruning, except removing its finished flowers if you so desire. It prefers full sun areas and well-drained soil. Plant Royal Purple now for those smoky, summer plumes!

Smokebush Shrub

Smokebushes (Cotinus) are known for their distinctive, feathery, flower clusters looking like smoke! They have vibrant spring foliage color, which they keep throughout the summer. Smokebushes thrive in full sun and well-drained soil. They are drought tolerant, low-maintenance, and usually do not need pruning. Smokebushes look best planted along a border, as a stand-alone specimen, or in a privacy hedge.
